Horizontal sand mill is a kind of sand mill, which is mainly used to disperse grinding materials. The working principle of the horizontal sand mill is to drive the material to be dispersed into the cylinder from the upper part of the horizontal sand mill through a metering pump. The motor drives the dispersion disc and the balancer on the spindle to rotate, generating kinetic energy to make the medium and slurry in the cylinder. Under the intense stirring of materials, the purpose of dispersion and crushing is achieved under the action of mutual friction, grinding and shearing.
The sand mill has good dispersion effect and strong crushing effect. It is the main equipment for manufacturing high dispersion. Through the above schematic diagram can be intuitively understood. The medium and the slurry form a rolling ring between the dispersion discs, which can produce an excellent dispersion effect. The ground pulp continuously enters the gap separator for separation, and the fine pulp enters the pulp outlet pipe through the screen and flows out.
For the horizontal sand mill, the amount of grinding media can be larger, so that the surface of the media accumulated in the cylinder is slightly lower than the upper impeller, which can give the grinding media a rising space. But at the same time, considering the pumping speed of the ink, because the ink is fed into the roller at high speed, the medium will turn slightly higher, so that more space will be left above the medium, that is, the amount of grinding medium should be appropriately reduced.
The grinding media consumption of the horizontal sand mill can start from 80% of the cylinder volume, and then increase or decrease according to the discharge temperature of the material or the temperature of the cooling water. Generally, when the temperature is higher than the allowable range, the consumption of the grinding medium should be reduced; when the temperature is lower than the allowable range, the consumption of the grinding medium can be increased before increasing the rotating speed of the rotating shaft.
